Dr. Aditya Desai is the Director and Chief Refractive Surgeon at Cure Sight Laser Centre, Ahmedabad. Since completing his MS in Ophthalmology in 2018, Dr. Aditya’s career trajectory has been marked by relentless dedication and ground-breaking achievements in eye care.

His journey began at Shri Santram Netra Chikitsalaya, where he examined over 25,000 cases across various outpatient departments. His commitment extended beyond the confines of the clinic, reaching into rural areas of Kheda district through numerous eye camps, ensuring community-based eye care services. Within just two years of his graduation, he performed over 5,000 successful cataract surgeries, setting a solid foundation for his surgical expertise. In January 2020, Dr. Aditya’s career took a pivotal turn when he joined Cure Sight Laser Centre. Here, he has performed over 30,000 successful LASIK procedures using advanced technologies such as femtosecond lasers, Contoura vision correction, and the transPRK method. His proficiency in ICL lens implantation is particularly noteworthy, addressing severe myopic and hyperopic conditions in patients. Recently, he has acquired and operated on 1000 eyes with the cutting edge machine, the Elita SILK, which is 5th generation AI technology for Lasik laser surgery.

Dr. Aditya’s influence extends beyond surgery.

• Presenting his research on an international stage at ESCRS in Vienna 2023.
• His contributions have been recognized globally, earning him the Young ICL Ophthalmologist Award at the Milan ICL Experts Meet in September 2022.
• He has also received numerous national accolades including the prestigious Times Group Award in both 2021 and 2024.
• Dr. Aditya’s recent contributions include conducting the first implantable collamer lens surgery in Western India, aimed at eliminating the need for both distance and near vision spectacles in patients.
