Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA)

Due to the introduction of the Personal Data Protection Act in 2012, we have implemented safeguards to protect your personal data that is collected by APACRS.

Collection of personal data

Data collected from you may include, but are not limited to the following:

  1. Name
  2. Contact information, such as mobile and telephone numbers, residential and email addresses
  3. Photographs and video recordings

Disclosure and sharing of personal data

We will not disclose your personal data to any third parties without first obtaining your consent permitting us to do so or unless any such disclosure is permitted under any of the statutory exemptions under the Act. Per contra, please note that we may disclose your personal data without first seeking your consent, only in the circumstances where such disclosure is either required or permitted under the Act, including without limitation, if the disclosure is required by law and/or regulations or if there is an emergency.

Retention of your personal data

The personal data which you provide us will be retained as long as the purpose for which it was collected remains and until it is no longer necessary for any purposes.

Your Rights:

  1. You may request access to or correction of your data that is stored with us
  2. You may request to withdraw your consent for collection, use and disclosure of your personal data stored with us by giving a reasonable notice

It is your obligation to ensure that all personal data submitted to us is complete, accurate, true and correct.

Changes to the policy

We reserve the right to modify or change this Data Protection Policy at any time.
