Visa Information

Overseas delegates participating in the 37th APACRS annual meeting must obtain a conference visa (not a business or tourist visa) to visit India, other than nationals from visa-exempt countries.

The 37th APACRS annual meeting organizing committee will be pleased to provide all registered and fully paid overseas delegates and participating exhibitors with the supporting documents to facilitate visa application.

Please submit your request for supporting documents via the APACRS conference website as early as possible as the process for applying for an Indian conference visa can be complex. Applications can be submitted from 120 days to no later than 21 July 2025.

The organizing committee is not responsible for any travel disruptions or expenses incurred by attendees, including failure to comply with the prevailing visa and entry requirements and/or change of travel regulations imposed by India or your home country.

STEPS FOR APPLYING FOR AN INDIAN CONFERENCE VISA

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR CONFERENCE VISA APPLICATION

Passport

1. Passport with at least six (6) months of remaining validity.

2. Photocopy of passport biodata page.

3. Must have a minimum of two (2) blank visa pages.

Photo

4. Photograph must be taken within the last six (6) months.

5. Colored passport photo against a white background, size: 51mm (H) x 51mm (L). Click here for photo specifications.

Official Supporting Documents

All registered and fully paid delegates and participating exhibitors can submit their request for the following official supporting documents via the APACRS website.

6. Official letter of invitation from the 37th APACRS annual meeting conference organizer.

7. Political clearance letter from the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.

8. Event clearance letter from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.

Apply for a Conference Visa to visit India

Delegates from most countries are required to obtain a visa to enter India.

Visa Exemptions

  • Citizens of Bhutan and Nepal do not require a visa to enter India and can stay in India for an indefinite period.
  • OCI Cardholders: Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cardholders do not need a visa to enter India.

Depending on your nationality, you may need to apply for an e-visa online or submit a physical visa application at an authorized Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC).

Delegates can submit their application from 120 days to no later than 21 July 2025.

9. eConference Visa
a) Complete the online application at indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html.

10. Hard Copy Paper Conference Visa
Citizens of China and Hong Kong SAR, Iraq, Pakistan and Sudan must apply with a hard copy conference visa.
a) Apply for a conference visa via indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/index.html.
b) Print and sign the application form.
c) Bring the signed copy of the printed form for submission at an authorized Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC) on the day of your appointment.

11. Hard Copy Conference Visa for Citizens of Bangladesh
a) Apply for a conference visa via ivacbd.com.
b) Print and sign on the application form.
c) Bring the signed copy of the printed form for submission at an authorized Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC) on the day of your appointment.
