Sudarshan KHOKHAR

Sudarshan Khokhar, MBBS (AIIMS), MD( AIIMS),FRCS (Edin) 1979 batch Alumini, is currently working as Professor In-charge of Lens Clinic Services at Dr. Rajendra Prasad Centre, All India Institute of Medical Sciences New Delhi, India.
He has expertise in Pediatric and complicated cataracts along with refractive surgery.
He has been conducting instruction course on complicated and Pediatric cataracts in different national and international conferences like AAO,ESCRS, APAO.
He has over 80 indexed publications and has authored 6 chapters in different books.
He has more than 25 years of teaching experience at the apex institute of India.

INNOVATIVE WORK
a) Designed a special cannula (Khokhar’s capsular painting cannula) for capsular painting in cases of white cataract undergoing Phacoemulsification.
b) Original paper-Therapeutic procedure developed-Combined surgery, cryotherapy, and Mitomycin-C for recurrent ocular surface squamous neoplasia.
c) Devised new technique for surgery in cases of Microspherophakia
d) Described the surgical peculiarities in cases of type-II diabetics
e) Devised new technique for surgery in cases of PHPV using Plasma blade
f) Described special technique for IOL insertion in Pediatric cataract cases
