Prof. So-Hyang Chung at the Seoul St. Mary’s hospital of the Catholic University of Korea, Seoul, Korea currently serves as Chair of Scientific Committee of the Korean Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and organized 34th APACRS-2022 KSCRS joint meeting as Secretary General. She is an active clinician and researcher in cataract, refractive, and corneal surgery as well as cornea/ocular surface diseases. Her achievements include research on multifocals, toric IOLs, and keratoconus treatment. She was principal investigator of a clinical trial on limbal epithelial stem cell graft transplantation of the Korean FDA and the investigation of biomarkers of Sjögren syndrome dry eye.
She has also served as a committee member for Academic Affairs of the Korean Dry Eye Society. She has published over 80 articles in numerous peer-reviewed journals and 4 books on cataract and corneal diseases.
