Dr Sri Ganesh founder of Nethradhama Hospitals Pvt Ltd and Shraddha Eye Care Trust started his ophthalmology practice in 1994 and now runs 10 eye hospitals in India.

Dr Sri Ganesh has been at the forefront of refractive surgery technologies. He began refractive surgery practice with radial keratotomy in 1994 followed by LASIK in 1997. He is an extraordinarily skilled surgeon and has performed over 120,000 cataract surgeries and 75,000 refractive surgeries.

With a keen mind for innovation and technological advances, Dr Sri Ganesh has authored over 60 peer-reviewed scientific papers and contributed over 6 book chapters. He conducted pioneering work on corneal lenticule extraction techniques and using these lenticules in tissue addition techniques to correct hyperopia and keratoconus.

As a dedicated educator of the next generation of eye surgeons, Dr Sri Ganesh has trained over 200 national and international fellows in cataract and refractive surgery.

Dr Sri Ganesh received many awards and accolades including an honorary doctorate from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in 2014, an honorary FRCS (Glasgow) in 2018, the Gold Medal oration from the Australasian Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons (AUSCRS) in 2017, the Intraocular Implant and Refractive Society of India (IIRSI) Gold Medal in 2007, the Bombay Ophthalmologists Association (BOA) Gold Medal in 2011, the prestigious Micheal Kritzinger award by the International Society of Refractive Surgery (ISRS) in 2022, the Honorary FAICO in refractive surgery by All India Ophthalmological Society and a charter fellow of the World College of Refractive Surgery and Visual Science (WCRS).

Dr Sri Ganesh is a sought-after speaker and has delivered orations and lectures at numerous national and international conferences.  He has also conducted countless instruction courses and symposia over the years.  He has performed over 100 live surgical demonstrations at national and international meetings. He is a member of several national and international ophthalmic societies including the prestigious Intraocular Implant Club (IIIC) founded by Sir Harold Ridley, where he serves as Secretary. He is currently the Treasurer and a member of the Board of Officers of the APACRS.
